​Major reconstruction and alteration works to a historic listed building in the Leigh-on-Sea Old Town Conservation Area.

The original fisherman’s cottage was substantially reconstructed to show how the living accommodation would have been when occupied in the 1850s. The cottage also needed to be modified to change the access to the building for the visiting public and improve the connection to the Heritage Centre.
